In this special month of August, MSA specially organized Merdeka Night for all Malaysians to come together and celebrate our National Day in this foreign land. It was held on our National Day Eve, 30 August, which was a Saturday. People started gathering at Hall 3 Function Hall at 6pm for this meaningful event.

Merdeka night 2008 was a Fantastic night. It was a blast! Hall 3 function hall was nearly packed and everyone just couldn’t wait for the night to start! The theme this year was Musical night, and the dress codes were Jazz, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Hip Hop and Oldies. It was great to see most of the participants dressed up according to the dress codes and presented themselves beautifully for the night! Participants were divided into 10 groups once they had registered. Each group was named after a Malaysian local singer respectively, namely Fish Leong, Jaclyn Victor, Penny Tai, Saiful Apek, Siti Norhaliza and etc…

Here we have our so long MSA Mid-Autumn Festival coming again!!! And so are our lovely Lantern dedications.

Well, some words are not meant for saying out loud, but are meant to be written and posted. This touching event is designed to let you express your regards to the people who come across your mind when you are bored, or when you need help, or whom you want to share your happiness and sadness with, or etc etc. Or you might feeling ’shy-shy’ to let somebody know your feelings towards him/her? THEN THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! Just click on the following link to subscribe our lantern dedication service! Fill up some basic information then off you go!

Well… There are certainly no free lunch in this world. But, in order to let you all enjoy the service while not causing a deadly blow to your purse, we shall only charge a very small amount, that is,

SGD $0.50 for each lantern dedication. Hall managers shall visit and collect money from those who have subscribed for the service.

This is strictly not for profits. This fund shall be utilized to pay for our gathering expenses.

The lantern will be delivered by us to the recipients right on the Mid-Autumn Festival. In case you are too shy to let the recipients know who you are, you can choose to be anonymous. But of course if you wish to send it by yourself, to show your sincerity, you can do so! Just tell us and we shall hand the lanterns to you on appointed date.

FOC 2008 has been a wonderful journey, there were many ups and downs but I’m sure all of us enjoyed ourselves and cherish all the memories forged during the camp. Now wouldn’t you want the same for the next batch of freshies? Here is the chance!
